We are training to run the Dallas White Rock Marathon on December 13. At the same time, we're working to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Our efforts are in memory of Janet's Grandma Helen, who lost the fight with leukemia 24 years ago at the age of 68. Her diagnosis--Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia--is now one of the most treatable types of blood cancer.
LLS is in its 60th year of raising funds for research to find a cure to leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and other types of blood cancers.
If you are able and willing to help us meet our goal of raising $5,000 for the cause, please CLICK ON THE TITLE OF THIS POST, "Help us save lives" which will link you to our fundraising site. Our goal is to have $1,700 raised by September 14!
We'll try to update regularly with pics and commentary about our training progress.
Thanks for visiting our blog--the best way we could think of to share our updates with our family and friends!
